Ariel Gordon is a Winnipeg writer and publicist. She has published two award-winning books of poetry, edited an anthology, and works as the promotions and publicity coordinator for University of Manitoba Press. This fall, she has simultaneously worked on edits for Treed, her forthcoming collection of essays about Canada’s urban forests, and planned the launch for a book on Rooster Town, a Metis community on the outskirts of southwest Winnipeg that endured from 1901 to 1961.
