Lara Rae is an award winning comedian and television writer. She was one of the co-creators of the international hit series Little Mosque on the Prairie. She was one of the co-founders of the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and served as the Artistic Director for 17 years. Her current passion is PANTRY an organization she founded to deal with food insecurity in her West Broadway neighborhood. Her play Dragonfly (Theatre Projects Manitoba) dealing with her gender journey was nominated for a Winnipeg Theatre Award for best new work and will be published by Scirocco Drama next year.
