Marni Van Dyk is a writer, producer, and performer. Her short fiction and poetry have been published in journals and anthologies across Canada. Her short film I Am Not A Weird Person (dir. Molly McGlynn), was featured on HelloGiggles, programmed by Jill Soloway on, and described by Lena Dunham as “a haunting little short”. Marni has served as the Head Writer for the WE DAY broadcast (CBS) hosted by Selena Gomez, as Associate Producer on Match Game (Comedy), and as a Story, Digital, and Development Producer on various properties for Bristow Global Media. She co-founded the award-winning all-female sketch comedy group, She Said What, and has just wrapped production on her first original half-hour scripted comedy pilot for Blue Ant Media in Toronto. Marni is a recipient of the Corus Writer’s Apprenticeship at the Banff World Media Festival, and is an alumna of the Diaspora Dialogues mentorship programs, and the Writer’s Lab at Norman Jewison’s Canadian Film Centre.
